I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and syringomyelia in 2018. As soon as I found out my diagnosis after 15 years of suffering, I began my search for the right physician. I conducted extensive research about the condition and contacted many doctors but couldn’t decide on what to do. Although all the doctors said that I needed surgery, I wasn’t convinced. At a period when I was seriously confused, I was recommended about Dr Hasan Çaglar by two of his previous patients who had undergone some serious operations and totally cured. Thus, I made an appointment on July 17; 2020 with Dr Ugur who examined me, and I received answers to all my questions within that half an hour. Despite the risks, I was operated on July 23rd. After 2 days of hospitalization, I was discharged upon detailed information by Dr Ugur on the operation related outcomes. After 2 months, I feel very well and am looking forward to my 4th month control. Hopefully, I will be informed about total cure. I faithfully thank Dr Ugur, in whom I completely trust and have been able to get in touch anytime I needed.
I do not know how to describe Dr Hasan Ugur because I know that it is difficult to find the correct adjectives. To begin with, 1. He is trustworthy 2. Compassionate 3. Humble, in short, he is an excellent person. He is also one of my professors from medical school. He may not remember but I first met him when one of my classmates had suffered cephalic hematoma at the 4th grade. My friend was recommended to contact Dr Ugur. I was alongside of my friend on the day of her operation. When I asked about the operation, he relived me with very clear explanations. Right at that moment, one can see how well-skilled the surgeon is. At the last year of the medical school, my dad needed operation for lumbar disc herniation. Once again, I was recommended Dr Ugur. My dad was very relieved, and his quality of life increased tremendously after the operation. I really got to know him at that time and as a medical school graduate, I can confidently say that I have never met another professor who is so professional, well-equipped, and at the same time, so modest and compassionate to his/her patients. Recently, two months ago, I was also operated by him. The reason I state that is because when you yourself is in a patient’s shoes, the most important criterion is how much you trust the surgeon. Apart from his professionalism, he is one of the nicest people I have ever met. My being his patient is my good luck and let alone being his pupil, which is very honoring.
I had been suffering from lower back pain for a long time. The pain was radiating to my legs. Prof. Dr Hasan Caglar Ugur had successfully operated my father for lumbar disc herniation in 2011, and thus, I visited Dr Ugur for medical examination. He recommended urgent operation. Three days after the examination, my left leg was suddenly paralyzed and there was excruciating pain. I called Dr Hasan Caglar Ugur immediately, and he had me transferred to the hospital by an ambulance. In the same evening, Dr Ugur operated me. Because he had previously operated on my father and several friends with very good outcomes, our faith in him was infinite, and confidently, I decided to be operated by him. The operation was a success. I can still reach him anytime I want. He answers every question in my mind very patiently. To reach a Dr who is so busy all the time so easily and receive satisfying answers must be one of the greatest blessings for a patient. Even if a Dr may be very good in what he/she does, he/she may lack humanistic qualities and may not know how to psychologically support his/her patient, which, to me, means he/she is not good enough in his/her profession. Prof Dr Hasan Çaglar Ugur is a neurosurgeon whom every patient who might need intervention will wish to be treated by. You may ask many people in Ankara (because we did so), even his colleagues, state that he is perfect in his area, and they would themselves want to be treated by him when needed. As our great founder of Turkish Republic, Ataturk, has said ‘entrust me to Turkish Doctors’, Dr Hasan Caglar Ugur proves Ataturk’s words and is a compassionate, caring, successful and friendly person whom you would like to meet. Hopefully, you will never need but if you ever need a neurosurgeon, you can trust in him to the fullest.
